Many applications that require a drive system for linear motion utilize electric lifting columns as they offer versatile performance capabilities, smooth operations, and safety features. To keep up with customer demands and the rising growth of new project ideas, our team continues to develop, innovate, and release new lifting column designs in various shapes and sizes that can meet your needs. In this article, we will be covering the overview of our new additions of modular lifting columns, the LG-11 and LG-13!

LG-11 Optimized Modularity for Personalized Setups

LG-11 lifting column

Check out our LG-11 which has a 3-stage design for a height range from 12.4" to 28.9"!

The LG-11 lifting column has a force rating of 230 lbs, a full load speed of 0.45 "/s, and can be chosen in black or silver. Designed with a square column shape, the 3-stage lifting column also has a height range from 12.4" to 28.9" for the versatility to be used in applications such as electric lift tables, lifting desks, and workstations.

Built-in hall sensors for positional feedback allow for synchronization, position display, and preset functions when paired with compatible linear motion products. Backed by our warranty and rigorous quality control inspections, we guarantee high levels of durability in our LG-11 constructed out of aluminum alloy to serve you well over the years!

LG-13 Streamlined Design with High Functionality

The LG-13 lifting column has a force rating of 230 lbs, a full load speed of 0.43 "/s, and can be chosen in black or silver so users have a variety of customizable lifting configurations to choose from for handling home automation setup. Designed with a rectangle lifting column shape and internally housed motors for a slim form factor, the two-stage lifting model also has a height range from 21.5" to 37.2".

Built-in hall sensors for positional feedback allow for synchronization, position display, and preset functions when paired with compatible linear motion products. Backed by our warranty and rigorous quality control inspections, we guarantee high levels of durability in our LG-13 constructed out of aluminum alloy to serve you well over the years!

Customizable Lifting Configurations of Modular Lifting Columns

Similar to how our modular lifting columns are configured as a system, the LG-11 and LG-13 are selected and paired with our compatible remotes and control boxes. In just 4 easy steps, you can customize the configuration of our modular lifting columns according to your application needs.

Control Box Compatibility

Each of our FLTCON control boxes allows for the ability to have programmed functions, safety features, and other user settings that can be accessed through the connected remote control. When multiple lifting columns are connected to an FLTCON control box, the control box ensures the synchronization of the motors so they move together at the same speed.

Control box Input Voltage Number of legs
FLTCON-1 110 VAC 1
FLTCON-2 110 VAC 2
FLTCON-2-24VDC 24VDC 2
FLTCON-3 110 VAC 3
FLTCON-4 110 VAC 4

Our LG-13 offers a two-stage lifting model design and internally housed motors for a slim form factor!

When choosing a configuration with 2 legs, there is now the added option to select our 2 channel FLTCON control boxes to have an input voltage of 110 VAC or 24 VDC. Our FLTCON-2 accepts 110 VAC input voltage, however, we also offer the FLTCON-2-24VDC which accepts 24 VDC input voltage. When paired with our PA-BT1-24-2200 Portable FLT Battery Pack (outputs 24 VDC), the FLTCON-2-24VDC and PA-BT1-24-2200 combination allows for full portability in a 2-legged system.

Variety of Remote Control Options

As part of our new range of modular lifting columns, both the LG-11 and LG-13 come with a wide range of remote options to choose from without having to order a second remote separately. Enjoy all the unique features of our different programmable wired remotes – they can also be used together with our RT-14 wireless remotes for extra convenience!

Diverse Applications and Custom Configurations

From use cases such as tables, benches, hidden cabinets, and pop-up tents, the applications of our versatile lifting columns are nearly endless. We have many success stories of customer projects that use our lifting columns, and we are excited to see all the new possibilities our LG-11 and LG-13 will bring! Examples such as our customer projects below utilize lifting columns that share similarities to our LG-11 and LG-13, showcasing a glimpse of their potential capabilities!

  • Custom Ergo Carts
  • Convertible Bed and Dinette Table
  • Phantom Bench by Dr Decks

Custom Ergo Carts

Custom Ergo Cart

A compact size for superior portability and convenience when moving from one building to another is often a requirement for lifting equipment. Our customers at AE Ergonomics utilize some of our custom lifting columns for their Custom Ergo Carts. These carts are designed to mitigate workplace injuries due to heavy lifting. Their custom ergonomic designs have the versatility to accommodate different work conditions by being available in configurations with 1 pillar, 2 pillars, or 4 pillars.

Each Custom Ergo Cart can be chosen to have either aluminum or butcher block tops. The powerful motors and high-quality aluminum construction ensured each custom-ordered column could handle its heavy-duty lifting capacity of 450 lbs. Our new stock LG-11 can also be configured with 1 pillar, 2 pillars, or 4 pillars, shares a similar square form factor, and shares a 3-stage telescopic aluminum alloy design that retracts to a low height.

Convertible Bed and Dinette Table

Dinette table

Space restrictions in a tiny house or RV can often promote creativity to maximize user comfort, convenience, and space efficiency. Using our FLT-11 lifting column set, Todd from tw HomeShow showcases an RV setup that can transform into either a bed or dinette table configuration at the push of a button. Our new LG-11 also has a 3-stage telescopic aluminum alloy design that retracts to a low height and shares a similar square form factor. For a single unit modular column system, the LG-11 has the option to be paired with an FLTCON-1 and wireless RT-14 for similar operational simplicity and controls.

Phantom Bench by Dr Decks

Phantom Bench

Home automation is about innovation and doing something that makes you think about the possibilities in a way you never thought possible. The Phantom Bench by Dr. Decks uses our FLT-03-2-2 Table Lift as a deck configured in such a way that the bench attached to our lifting columns sits flush with the floor that surrounds the area to stay hidden. At the press of a button, the deck transforms into a bench for an added surprise factor! Being flush with the floor when collapsed also helps with keeping a tidy space and staying out of the way when a bench is not required.

While the FLT-03-2-2 has been discontinued, using our 2x LG-03-2RM-16-440-HS-24V rectangle lifting columns, 1x FLTCON-2 control box, and 1x RT-11 remote works just the same! Our LG-03-2RM-16-440-HS-24V has a height range from 22.8" to 37.8" through its two-stage lifting model design and can produce up to 440 lbs of force as a single leg. Similarly, our LG-13 also offers similar height ranges in a two-stage lifting model design and a rectangle lifting column shape. The internally housed motors offer a slim form factor for applications that require an extra compact design.
