FAQ
Why is the PA-01 a better alternative to the PA-14?

The PA-01 actuator is a next-generation upgrade to the PA-14, offering enhanced performance, improved durability, and lower operating noise and vibration. It delivers higher dynamic load capacities—up to 225 lbs compared to the PA-14’s 150 lbs—and operates at faster speeds, reaching up to 3.54"/sec. The PA-01 maintains the same mounting size and length for seamless replacement and offers optional Hall effect feedback for applications requiring precise position control. With an upgraded IP65 ingress protection rating (versus IP54 on the PA-14), the PA-01 is better suited for demanding environments while maintaining full stroke range compatibility from 1" to 40".

What are the typical use cases for the PA-14 Mini Linear Actuator?

The popular PA-14 mini linear actuator use cases include home automation, automotive adjustments, compact robotics, and industrial automation, where moderate force in a compact actuator size is required.

What types of feedback options are available for the PA-14 actuator?

The PA-14 is available as a feedback actuator under model PA-14P, providing potentiometer feedback for applications requiring actuator monitoring.

Is the PA-14 compatible with Arduino or other control systems?

Yes, the PA-14 is a plug-and-play linear actuator that can be integrated with various control boxes that accept the 2-pin molex connector while having simple 2-wire brushed DC motor operation for easy custom control setups.

What mounting brackets are compatible with the PA-14 and how do they simplify installation?

The PA-14 is compatible with either the BRK-14 or BRK-01-U brackets for the front and rear ends while offering installation options for the shaft housing through the BRK-03 (stroke lengths that are 2" or above). These brackets simplify installation by offering secure and flexible mounting solutions that come with all the necessary screws and pins for quick installation.

Can the PA-14 actuator be customized to fit specific stroke length or force requirements?

Yes, the PA-14 can be custom ordered for specific actuator stroke length options and different force ratings than the standard model.
