Quick Release Actuator
Our standard linear actuators are just as described: the most multi-purpose devices in our catalog that can be implemented into wide variety of applications. These actuators are extremely versatile and the most fundamental actuators in our line-up, with a compact design and strong performance. With certain models featuring an IP66 protection rating, they also hold the ability to withstand certain elements in harsh environments, furthering the list of compatible applications. These actuators are the most cost-effective type of actuator in our catalog when analyzing the relativeness between capabilities and cost. Low noise is also an advantage of these actuators at <45 dBA, ideal for projects that require little sound when operating.
With the PA-04 and PA-04-HS holding an IP rating of IP-66, these actuators are quite durable. This rating is designed to withstand dust ingress and protect against water exposure.
The key definition of these standard electric actuators is that they are multi-purpose. With a range of dynamic force between 100 lbs and 900 lbs in our standard models, optional feedback and hall effect sensors in others, and low noise operation, they truly are a versatile range.
Relative to our other types of actuators and given the capabilities of our standard linear actuators, they are quite cost effective. If cost is a significant factor these actuators may be your best solution without compromising on quality!
We have data sheets, user manuals, 3D models, wiring diagrams and more in our Resources and Learning Center sections.
Yes, our actuators can be seamless replacements for most applications. Please contact us if you are unsure of which actuator to opt for. You will need to know the voltage rating, force rating, and stroke length needed before we can give a recommendation for a replacement actuator.
Yes. However, it is important to have sufficient voltage and current to be applied to your actuator. Here is an article that may help you further: How to Choose the Right Power Supply for your Linear Actuator
As we are primarily manufacturers and distributors, we have a limited amount of sample codes available. While we cannot provide specific coding for your application, we do have a growing list of sample Arduino codes. To access these sample codes, please click here.
No. However, we have a large variety of control boxes to choose from for each actuator. Alternatively, you may also use rocker switches as a form of motion control.
Yes, however, you need to ensure your control box can provide sufficient current draw and compatible voltage. Otherwise, you risk damaging your actuator(s).
